Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a fantastic game indeed. However, a lot of people are having a hard time escaping FORT JOY. Maybe it’s because they’re underleveled or just don’t know what to do. Don’t worry, we’ll tell you five ways on how you can escape the Fort, but it won’t be easy. The good thing is that even if you already escaped the Fort, you can still go back and complete all five methods anyway. You need those levels for the tough boss fight at the end of this chapter.
Method 1 – Using the Boat
When you gain access inside the Keep, you can go up the stairs from the dungeons. Now, just go in the direction below. There will be a boy there who will ask for your help. Help him, fight the guards, and once they’re dead, the boy will let you ride his boat and leave the Fort.
Method 2 – Helped by a Paladin
You can enter the Gate leading to the Keep, or use the same method going from the dungeons (same as Method 1). Once inside, there will be a battle, and you’ll notice one of the participants is a Paladin who will be on your side. Make sure he doesn’t die, and after you win, a dialogue will ensue, and you can raise the bridge down, and you’re out of the Fort.
Method 3 – Fighting the Magisters
Using Method 1 in entering the Keep, go to the top floor instead of down (where the boat is). If you got the key from the Yarrow, you can enter the room inside and have a tough fight against the Magisters. Beat them and locate a corner where there are boxes you can break. Destroy them, and you can follow a path down, leading outside of the Keep.
Method 4 – The Sewers
Once again, using Method 1 to go to the Keep, head right this time. Not up (where the Magisters are) and not bottom (where the boat is). On this side, you’ll be fighting a group of maniacs, flesh golems, and a mad scientist. Defeat them and find the area leading to the sewers, which leads you outside.
Method 5 – Going through the Docks
This method takes a bit of time since you have to complete the quest where you get the Teleportation Gloves. When you reach the point where Gawin betrays you and leaves you, you can teleport to the ledge leading to the side of the Fort. Just follow where he went, and you can reach the docks where Gawin will always be killed. This is a tough fight because there are a lot of enemies, so just be prepared.
