How to Input the Codes

FF7 Safe Codes Inputting Them

Inputting the code is very tricky because you have a 19-second time window to do it. The other thing that makes it tricky is that when you turn to the number that you want, you shouldn’t pass it by.

Let’s say you’re going to Right 36. Make sure you stop exactly at 36. If you pass 36, then that fails the opening. You have to start again.

Lastly, make sure that you press the confirm button (you’ll hear a sound) before you continue with the other codes. Once the codes are inputted correctly and on time, a boss fight will begin.

Battle Against the Lost Number

The Lost Number has two sides. What you do is that when its HP falls after a threshold, whatever the last hit was will determine what its next form is. If you attack it with Magic, the red side will take over, and it will deal Magic attacks. You’ll be able to fight the purple side when you hit with Physical at the end.

A good strategy is that you can hit it with Physical last. It will be physically stronger, but it will be weaker when it comes to magic. What you can do now is bombard it with magical spells and summons.

You can also go the opposite route and make it go magical. Have your characters bombard it with physical attacks with their Limit Breaks. If you’re lucky enough, you can use the ChocoMog summon and make it STOP. You can kill it without making it split apart.

Once it’s defeated, you’ll get the COSMO  MEMORY Limit Break, ODIN MATERIA, and BASEMENT KEY. The key is what you need to open the door where Vincent is sleeping to recruit him.
