We’re going old school for this one, and it is a game called Brave Fencer Musashi for the PlayStation 1. This game isn’t available for any digital format, unfortunately. However, that doesn’t mean people can’t play it. One of the trickiest things to find is the Minku, but we’ll tell you where all 13 of them are located.
What are the Minkus?
The Minkus are creatures that you can encounter that look like small mammals. The 13 Minkus will spawn at their respective locations, but only at night. If it’s not night yet, then you will see their poop. That’s a sign that you’re in the right place. Just head offscreen, go to sleep until it’s night, and then head back to where the poop is. That’s where the Minku will spawn when the time is right.
Catch these fast suckers because they can be tricky to catch. Once you grab them, throw them, and you’ll get a Longevity Berry that adds 25 to your health. They’re spread out wide in the game, so we’ll give you their locations and other important data.
Minku Locations
As long as you haven’t gone to the point of no return, you can get these Minkus any time, when their locations are accessible.
NEAR THE GONDOLA (Left)
Head left from the gondola, and you’ll see it near the tree.
NEAR THE GONDOLA (Right)
When we are able to climb walls, go to the right, and climb up, and there it is.
SKULLPION’S DEN
After you defeat Skullpion, just head back to his den (where you fought him).
SOMNOLENT FOREST (River)
When you have the Water Scroll, travel through the river from the bridge, and you’ll see it.
SOMNOLENT FOREST (Deep Woods)
Just head west of the Somnolent Forest, and you can enter a secret path to where the Minku is.
TWINPEAK MOUNTAIN (Platforms)
In the area where you raced Rootrick to climb up the mountain, the Minku will be at the bottom left of the platforming area.
TWINPEAK MOUNTAIN (River)
When you have the Water Scroll, travel west from the river. Keep heading west, and you’ll see the Minku.
UNDERGROUND LAKE
In the Underground Lake, where you’re riding the rock, the Minku will be on one of the platforms on the edges.
WIND CREST
In the area where the Wind Crest is located (leading to the Final Dungeon), that is where the Minku is.
UNDER THE WELL
When you have the Water Scroll, the Minku will be visible and accessible after you use it on the Water Crest. Just walk on the water to head to it.
WIND SCROLL
Located where the Wind Scroll is, outside is the Minku just chilling.
ANT NEST
Head left upon entering the Ant Nest, and you’ll see the Minku.
ANT NEST 2
This one is deeper in the Ant Nest when you keep going east, and this area is right under the giant propellers.
