5 Best Cozy Games to Play on the Nintendo Switch 2

Cozy games are a genre where the players can just sit back and relax. These types of games don’t put pressure on the player. They are usually about exploring, farming, harvesting resources, crafting, and more. While some have combat, the combat isn’t that hard. That being said, the Nintendo Switch 2 is a great console to play these games on. Here are five cozy games that you can play on your Switch 2.

Pokopia

This one just came out, and it’s selling like hot cakes. It’s Pokémon, and it can’t get any cozier than this. You are a Ditto who is disguised as a human. There are no humans in this world, and Ditto has to restore parts of it to its former glory.

Harvest resources and recruit some adorable Pokémon friends to revitalize the environment. Use the Pokémon abilities to get the ball rolling. Create habitats and explore areas in this mysterious world that you have to uncover.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The mother of all cozy games in Nintendo’s exclusive IPs is Animal Crossing. This series is over 20 years old already, and Animal Crossing New Horizons was released back in 2020 and is made available for the Switch 2. Animal Crossing has its memorable characters, and with this game, there are a couple of new ones.

New Horizons utilizes real-time mechanics. It isn’t anything new, but you’re relying on real-time for some of your activities. That’s not a bad thing, and there are visible changes to the island. Speaking of the island, that’s the goal right there. Make the island look beautiful with the help of the game’s harvesting and crafting mechanics.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

You get to choose and swap from 14 classes called Life. They are divided into Gathering, Crafting, and Combat Lives. Combat offers you to battle the system of the game. Gathering allows you to get wood, materials, and fish. Then, Crafting Lives allows you to create stuff. Master these Lives to improve everything on the island.

Palia

This game utilizes the MMO element. While you control your character to do stuff like harvesting, gathering, farming, crafting, and more, you can see other players on the world map. Your farm, the location of your house, is in its own pocket dimension, and only players who have been invited can enter it. Using the items you can harvest and craft, you can customize your house and make it livelier.

Endless Ocean Luminous

The third game in the Endless Ocean series, Luminous, takes players exploring the Veiled Sea. Armed with your underwater gear and wits, you have to discover parts of the ocean where you have to document hundreds of underwater species. There are also interesting locations like underwater structures and wrecks. Your thalassophobia won’t be kicking in when you play this game.
