Chronigma: Time Travel, Puzzles, and More

If you love some free puzzle games on Steam, then you might want to check out Chronigma. The keyword here is that his game is FREE. You don’t need to pay for anything, and if it isn’t to your liking, then just stop playing. The game size isn’t that big, so you can enjoy this for free.

A somewhat interesting story

Story

This game has a story that you can follow. If you’re interested, then that’s fine too. The game doesn’t punish you if you don’t read the story. After all, some people just want the gameplay, and this game is good at that too. The story is a mix of post-apocalypse, time travel, and a little bit of mystery at the end, spawning different endings to unlock.

Puzzles are excellent

Gameplay

The goal of each level is to get from point A to point B. You want to access the exit of each level, and that’s where it will take you to the next level. It sounds easy, but you have to figure out how to progress through each world (stage) and its levels. There are four different worlds that will add gimmicks, and some gimmicks from the previous world will be removed. You can operate panels, boxes, lasers, mirrors, and more.

Time travel is key

There are stages where time traveling is needed. How time travel works is like this. Your character moves in a fixed amount of time. When you’re ready to time travel, just click the button. Now, you’re moving in a time loop, your previous self will appear and do all the things you just did in the time frame before the time travel.

Time Travel

You can time-travel as many times as you want, and in some stages, you need to do it more than once. Time traveling is the key if you want to move things and be sure that your current self will progress to the next stage. It is also a necessary step to perform a time paradox. This is when you disrupt your past self to unlock or perform a task to complete it.

Use the hints

The game does offer some hints for you to follow. This is a good feature when you want to progress the level, but you’re not sure of what to do. You can always restart the level if you want. Get unlimited amounts of hints and restarts as you want. The hints can also be vague or will just tell you to. You will still need to execute it, so your timing has to be there, or just do the puzzle properly.

Bonus Stages are there

Bonus Stage
Green Portal is the starting point, Orange Portal is the exit, and the Red Portal leads to the bonus stage

There are also bonus stages available in some parts of the levels. You don’t need to do them right away. You can access them after you’ve completed the level where they are unlocked. The red portals will send you to the bonus stage, and they will send you back on the main path after you’ve completed them.
