Megaman X5: Falcon and Gaea Armor Locations

Megaman X5 brought something different when it comes to the armor system of the X series. It was the first time that you could unlock two types of armor compared to having only one. That’s why we’re here to teach you where each armor piece is for the Falcon and Gaea Armors.

Falcon Armor

An armor set that is able to fly for a limited period of time. It is able to fly over obstacles and pitfalls and has a protective shield in front of it.

Head Part

This one is pretty hard to obtain, as you need to go to Squid Adler’s stage. In the image below, you just need to obtain these spheres. There are 8 of them, and if you miss any of them, you cannot obtain the head part. If you managed to obtain all 8, the door at the end of the Ride Chaser sequence will open, leading you to the head part.

Chest Part

You need to first obtain the weapon Gel Shaver from Duff McWhalen. Once you do, head back to his stage again (so you need to beat it the first time). After the long submarine sequence, when you defeat the tail, you’ll be entering the dry room. When you reach near the end, you’ll see the armor capsule. Use the Gel Shaver to destroy the bomb, which will destroy the wood blocking your path.

Buster Part

Located on Izzy Glow’s stage, this is a tricky one to spot. Look at the image below and jump over the gap. Destroy the laser beam cannon blocking your path, and you’ll enter the armor capsule room.

Leg Part

This one can also be tricky to spot. After the train sequence in Grizzly Slash’s, there is a gap when you first enter the cave. Just jump on top of it, and the armor is there for the taking.

Gaea Armor

The Gaea Armor is slow, tanky, and cannot jump really high. It can stick on the walls without falling or sliding down. It is also invulnerable to spikes, so you won’t die when you hit them. Its attack range is also a bit short, and the charge buster is discharged in close range.

Head Part

You’ll find this to the left, opposite the boss door in Dark Dizzy’s stage. You need the Firefly Shot weapon (from Izzy Glow) to get this. This takes trial and error, as you need to guide the Firefly to hit the trigger to open the door. It’s tricky, and you may run out of energy.

Chest Part

Located in the Skiver’s stage, you need to have the Falcom Armor first. In the image below, be sure to fly to the upper left area where the armor capsule is waiting for you.

Buster Part

Obtaining the part can be done in two ways. You can take the Ride Armor under the lava and emerge at the end, where the armor is. The problem with that is that you cannot leave the area because you’ll just die in the lava. That won’t be an issue if you already beat the level, because you can just exit. The second route is by having the Falcon Armor. Instead of using the Ride Armor, just fly to where the armor is. Then fly to the boss’s door above the armor piece, and you’re done.

Leg Part

You’ll need the Falcon Armor for this one in Axle the Red’s stage. In the area where you’re traversing using the zip lines, just fly up in the image below. When you continue flying high, you’ll see the armor piece.
