E3 has long been dead, and one of the most infamous and embarrassing presentations was the one by Konami. We’re talking about the 2010 E3 Konami presentation. It’s renowned for how bad and cringeworthy it is, but it’s also one with fun and fond memories. So let’s take a look at the notable games and bad moments of the presentation, as we won’t be covering the boring parts of it.
Tak Fujii and the Ninety Nine Nights 2
Probably the most famous one when it comes to how bad it was, and his name is Tak Fujii. The reason people love him is because of the way he talks and the way he presented the game NINETY NINE NIGHTS 2. He kept saying the words EXTREME and 1 MILLION TROOPS in an unintentionally hilarious way.

The game itself is your standard action game, think about Dynasty Warriors. You beat up enemies, hence the line 1 million troops, because you’ll be flooded with enemies. The reviews for the game are mixed. Most put it at around a 5 out of 10, and some at a 7. It’s not a masterpiece, but some people find some fun in it.

The Never Dead Magic Cringe
They’re presenting the game Never Dead, and they had someone (named Tommy) do a magic trick where his head fell off his shoulders. You can just feel the cringe as he did that, and this was even before they showed clips of the game.

The game itself has an interesting gameplay where you play an immortal in an action hack and slash and shooter game. When you need to, your character doesn’t die, but he has to pick up his parts again by rolling around. Even if it is just a head, you can roll it back to your body to make it whole again. The game had decent reviews.

Lucha Libre Loco
The game being presented is called Lucha Libre Heroes Del Ring. It’s a luchador wrestling game, which is cool, but the presentation will make you loco. The presenter is a liaison for AAA (an actual Lucha Libre Wrestling Promotion). Before he presents the game, he presents three luchadors.

Sounds fine, until they start fighting each other, like any other wrestling event. Obviously, it is scripted, but watching this just makes you cringe a bit. The three luchadors then threaten the presenter, and you’ll be glad it’s over. The game itself has mixed to bad reviews, so, so much for that concept.

Can You Dance Masters
Tommy is back (or rather, this is his first appearance in the whole E3) along with director Naoki Maeda. They are presenting the game Dance Masters, which utilizes sensor motion. Keep in mind, this was back in the early 2010s, when the Wii revolutionized sensor gaming with Wii Sports. This is Konami’s take on dancing with the use of the sensors.

The bad part is actually during the dancing presentation. We’re not making fun of how they can’t dance, but it’s just looking at a bad (in this case, hilarious) presentation. The game itself did get some mixed to good reviews. In a way, this game did well enough, despite that dance presentation.

Silent Hill Stare
Finally, we’ll finish this one; it’s a Silent Hill presentation. Forget about the game; this infamous stare with the guy behind another guy is what people remember about. There’s no context; he’s just staring at the guy menacingly, so that’s why it is so funny.
