Even though we’re a bit late on this, never mind; it’s never too late. We’re wrapping up the SONY State of Play for September. We have some updates on old games and newer ones, as well as a couple of DLCs. So, let’s not waste any more time and dive right into what this State of Play had to offer.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation
We already know about this game coming out, but we’ll just mention it briefly. They also had a 10-minute showcase aside from the trailer. To summarize, they introduced the FITS System and potential branching of side quests and results. The game comes out next year, and we can’t wait.
Ghost of Yotei: Echoes of Sekigahara
This is DLC for Ghost of Yotei, and according to what we have, this is a story DLC where parts of the game will go back to a flashback and head back to the modern day. This one is expected to come out this November, so Ghost of Yotei fans can eat well with this one.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance
Another DLC for another great game. There’s not much to say other than this expands the story a bit more. Don’t forget the addition of more items, new monsters, new dragons, and a whole new world of pain for players to endure.
Rev.Noir
This comes to us from Konami, and it is your traditional action ARPG in the style of anime visuals. An original IP is always welcome, and this has some spunk to it. The story involves stopping a calamity called the Lightfall. You have a collective crew of interesting characters who will strangely save the world.
Rhapsody in Scarlet
We have another game from Konami, and it is more of an extended look at a game that was announced several months ago. Rhapsody in Scarlet takes place in New York, set in the 1920s. It has that aesthetic mixed with some anime visuals and flashy effects, and it is also another action RPG for you to try out.
Stupid Never Dies
We have a fun zombie game for you, and it’s not a shooter. It’s another action game where you play as Davy, a very weak zombie who is out to fight KOM (King of the Monsters). It’s your job to strengthen him and make sure that he is up to the task. A game that has elements of comedy and one that you shouldn’t take too seriously.
DABA: Land of Water Scar
You play as a puppet or a doll that looks like a human. This is an action RPG where you explore this mystical land. Along the way, there are some hurdles like monsters and all sorts of horrors that will block your path. This is an original IP and something to watch out for in 2027.
Where the Seeds Fall
Lastly, we have another new IP in the form of Where Seeds Fall. Slated to come out this November, this game is brought to you by Cygames. Blight has consumed the world, and the surviving people have to live out on the tree branches of the World Tree. A mysterious child appears, and you have to help him or her unravel this mystery.
