Diablo 2: Which Class is Perfect for You

Diablo 2 Classes to Choose From

Diablo 2: Resurrected has since gotten a resurgence. This is due to the latest DLC offering, which has the new Warlock class. Imagine that this game got an update about 25 years later. If you want to get into Diablo 2, but you’re confused as to which class you want to try or play, this friendly guide will help you with it. This is an overview of which class may suit you.

BARBARIAN

Barbarian Class

The basic melee or physical class in the game. Let this guide dual-wield one-handed weapons or even use two-handed weapons for more damage, but at a slower attack speed. Armed with an array of battle cries and weapon mastery abilities. The Barbarian is a go-to for players who don’t want any complexities.

PALADIN

Paladin Class

The Paladin can be balanced when it comes to combat. They can damage, and they can take it. The running joke about the Paladin is that they take too long to kill something. However, they won’t be croaking on the battlefield right away. An array of aura abilities for offense, defense, and sustain, this class is another good one for beginners.

SORCERESS

Sorceress Class

A friendly and somewhat easy-to-use magical spell caster is what you’ll get with her. Capable of nuking and eradicating enemies with her fire, shock, or frost spells. She can dish it, but maybe can’t take it. This class is a bit squishy, so make sure that you get the right gear or servant to take the hits.

NECROMANCER

Necromancer Class

This one is a bit tricky and not that beginner-friendly. However, after a few potential hiccups, the Necromancer can be powerful. Being able to summon skeletons and golems to fight for you, the Necromancer can be balanced and well-rounded. Armed with offensive spells and curses to debilitate enemies.

AMAZON

Amazon Class

A balanced ranged or melee fighter. Using javelins to throw or bows and arrows can make the Amazon deadly. If melee is your thing, then the spear is the Amazon’s best friend. The Amazon can be nimble on the battlefield or can be somewhat tanky. Maybe this one fits you if you want to swap between range and melee fighting.

ASSASSIN

Assassin Class

The first of the two expansion classes from back in the day, the Assassin, lays traps and combos to utilize. Not that user-friendly, but not that hard to use. This class relies mostly on Dexterity, so it may fall somewhat squishy in the process. Make sure to time your hits and run away if needed.

DRUID

Druid Class

A good spell-casting and shapeshifting class to use. If you like to summon and turn into a wolf for more damage, the Druid is your main man. Utilizing and casting elemental spells is also one of its forte. You could even think that the Druid is a tanky Sorceress with good damage outputs.

WARLOCK

Warlock Class

The latest and newest addition to the Diablo 2 class lineup. The Warlock can be a mix of spell casting and summoning. Unlike the Necromancer, the Warlock focuses on demons. No undead within its ranks, and you can even charm the shoes out of other demons, and they will fight for you. Perhaps this one is a bit high on the list when it comes to being utilized.
