Sony Plans on Not Releasing First Party Exclusives on PC

For a long time, these Sony exclusives have made a killing. The God of War series is a good example of this, as these games have been around for over 20 years. However, in recent years, Sony has released their exclusive titles for PC (not on Xbox). You have games like the God of War series, Spider-Man, Horizon series, and more. These games have been exclusive to the PlayStation, but have made their way to PC. Patient players won’t need to buy a PlayStation if that’s the case, then.

Sony has taken a step back and has now decided not to release upcoming first-party exclusives on PC. They are stating under the Sony brand for the foreseeable future. For now, we have just have to assume that all future God of War games will not be going on PC. The most painful one for excited players is Wolverine. The game had a lot of promise and is in danger of being exclusive to the PlayStation.

Sony Exclusive Wolverine

It’s an unfortunate case, but exclusives have always been a deciding factor for people if they want to get the console or not. Nintendo still has its IPs exclusive to it. The only way their IPs get used would be through mobile gaming, and not everyone is into that.

You don’t have to worry about existing titles that are already on platforms like Steam. Sony won’t pull them out, but they won’t be adding new ones. It’s still a little bit early to tell, so there’s a chance that this might be temporary. As they say, nothing is forever, and maybe Sony will release future exclusives on PC to get more profit.
