The recent trailer for a new? Or remake? Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has everyone excited. Before we move on to the future, let’s honor the past with a look at the original Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (KotoR).
For this guide, we’ll be talking about the two companions that you might miss. The other seven companions will join you, whether you like it or not. Just a heads up, there will be spoilers ahead if you haven’t played KotoR, but this might be a good refresher for the old players out there.
Juhani
HOW YOU CAN MISS HER
Juhani is a Jedi character whom you can recruit during your time in Dantooine. In the story, she is being corrupted by something. If you kill her after the fight by choosing the dark side dialogues, that’s it, she’s dead and gone.
HOW TO RECRUIT HER
After you fight her, convince her to return to the Jedi. Basically, just convince her to be good with the light side options. She’ll run back to the Jedi Academy, and she’ll join you later. She is a unit to have on your team. When you have her and Jolee as your companions, you’ll be good to go.
HK-47
HOW YOU CAN MISS IT
HK-47 is a droid that is obtained in Tatooine. You can miss it by not buying it, and once Tatooine is no longer accessible.
HOW TO RECRUIT IT
When you gain access to Tattoine, simply find the vendor Yuka Laka in Anchorhead. He will sell HK-47 for 5,000 Credits. You can try to use persuasion, which gets it down to 4,000. You can even threaten him and see if he sells it less. When you don’t have the Credits yet, you can travel to other worlds until you have enough. Just buy HK-47 before Tatooine can no longer be available for you to go.
