5 Great Star Wars Games

The Star Wars franchise needs no introduction. After all, the series has been running for almost 40 years. Throughout those years, movies weren’t the only ones getting made. You have TV shows and video games on their list. Speaking of lists, let’s take a moment and take a look at 5 of the best, or at least some of the better Star Wars games out there.

The Knights of the Old Republic

Released for the Xbox back in 2003, it has made its way to modern consoles and PC. KOTOR is beloved by the community because of how good it is. Utilizing strategic and action-based gameplay mechanics, KOTOR lets you play a mysterious character with a great reveal at the end. Travel through worlds and find maps for more plot twists. The story and dialogue choices are what made this game so good. It is getting a new game with the title Fate of the Old Republic, and we can’t wait.

The Old Republic

KOTOR is so good that it spawned a sequel, and it spawned this game, SWTOR. The Old Republic is an MMO that has been running around for over a decade. Having continued updates and being able to play for free up to certain points, there’s no wonder this game is good. It has the usual MMO parts, but you can freely play on your own without doing group activities. The story takes place several hundred years after KOTOR 2. The story and dialogue options are still top-notch, as it should be.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Some would argue that LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is a better game; there’s no doubt that the Skywalker Saga has more content. Regardless, the Skywalker Saga has all 9 movies bundled into one game. The levels are also different from the Complete Saga, as it should be. What can we say, it’s good old LEGO goodness. You have levels filled with action and levels filled with puzzles. A good combination utilizing your favorite Star Wars characters.

Battlefront 2 (2005)

This isn’t the 2017 version, because the 2005 Battlefront 2 has one advantage: it’s easy to boot up and play. Just like the first game, Battlefront 2 puts you in the place of soldiers fighting out multiple battles scattered across the movies at the time. Large-scale battles, space battles, and so much more. It was a game that you could get into and leave. The story was good; after all, they were based on the movies, but it’s the action and gameplay that people loved to play over and over again.

Jedi: Fallen Order

Fallen Order was met with criticism before its launch in 2019. That’s because EA Games fumbled on the 2017 Battlefront 2 release. However, Fallen Order delivered and became one of the most loved Star Wars games of all time. It takes place sometime after the purge of the Jedis, and you play as Cal Kestis, a Jedi in hiding. Throughout the game, he has to find this vault to restore the Jedi Order. This game is considered a soulsborne game. That means that this game is no walk in the park, but it’s gotten a lot of good reviews, so it’s worth the time.
