Varka is the latest 5 Star character released by Genshin Impact. While not diving too much into his story, like any new character banner, the question is, SHOULD YOU PULL FOR HIM? Character collectors will probably do, but if you’re strapped for resources, then we’ll give you potential reasons why you would want to pull for him, or not.
Playstyle
Varka is an Anemo elemental Claymore wielder. He is the first to be a dual Claymore wielder, so he specializes in dishing out some heavy damage, and he’s quite fast as well. His key feature is that he is able to execute two different elemental attacks. His main (right-handed Claymore) will deal the Anemo damage, and the left Claymore will deal the secondary element.
How does he deal with a secondary element, you ask? That’s applicable when you activate his Elemental Skill. That also depends on what elements your team members have. He can only interact with Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo elemental properties. Once the Skill is used up, he reverts to basic damage.
Strengths
If you have characters that play as an off-field type support, then you don’t have to be frantically switching all the time. You can execute several good elemental reactions just by having Varka use his skill. He is also mobile when you charge his elemental skill in the process.
Weaknesses
While Varka deals good damage, some players think that his damage output isn’t that high compared to other characters. We could say that he’s not so friendly to free to play players when it comes to team compositions.

Some good characters to have Varka team up with are Venti, Durin, Furina, and even Jean.
Free to Play Team Compositions
Bennett is a popular choice, or Jean as well, if you have her, since she falls into the F2P category. Other characters like Faruzan and Sucrose are good substitutes if you don’t have the premium characters.
