Final Fantasy IX is a great game, and one of its many sidequests is the Stellazzio Coins. These are 13 pieces of coins about the Zodiac. You just have to get all the coins to get rewards from Queen Stella’s house in Treno. If you don’t know, or don’t remember where the Stellazzio Coins are, here is a little guide to help you with it. We’ll even place it in order as you’re doing the story.
ARIES
The very first coin you can get is from the village of Dali. Arriving there for the first time (or you could get it later), the coin is right behind the pillar, as seen in the image below.
CANCER
When you arrive in Burmecia for the first time, the Cancer coin is located on the cart from the back. Just click on it when the exclamation symbol appears.
SCORPIO
If you decide not to go to Treno when you are controlling Garnet and Steiner, along with Marcus, you can head straight for Quan’s Dwelling; simply go down to the water below, and it’s at the specific location in the photo.
GEMINI
When you first arrive in Treno with Garnet and Steiner, there is a fountain to the left. Throw 10 Gil 13 times until the coin will fly out and into the palm of your hands. It doesn’t matter if you get the Gemini or the Taurus (below) first, as both are in Treno.
TAURUS
Another coin that you can get from the city of Treno upon arriving the first time. Head to the item shop below and look for it on the floor as seen in the image below.
VIRGO
Upon arriving in the Black Mage Village for the first time, you can get this. However, you may need to progress the story a bit. Just make sure you get it before you leave because if you progress the story, you can’t come back here until later.
LIBRA
Located in Madain Sari right behind the fountain. You can get this anytime, but get it once you arrive for the first time, during the part where Eiko is cooking lunch.
LEO
This one is accessible when you take control of Zidane during the story where Garnet is preparing for her coronation. Head to the west door before proceeding with the story. If you accidentally trigger the story, you can come back here later after the castle is destroyed.
SAGITTARIUS
Accessible when you arrive in Lindblum after it gets destroyed. You can get it before you leave for the section where you control the Blue Narciss ship. It’s in the left section of this map in Lindblum.
CAPRICORN
Located in Daguerreo, but it will be a while for you to access it once you get the Hilda Garde III.
AQUARIUS
It’s in the chest on the right side of the entrance in Ipsen’s Castle.
PISCES
The last coin you can get in the specific order that we listed. It is simply located inside a chest in the Invincible ship.
OPIUCHUS
Once you give all 12 Stellazio coins, Stella will tell you about a third one. Just go back to where you found the Scorpio coin, a little scene happens, and you get the Opiuchus coin. Give it to Stella and the quest ends.
