Dragon Quest 10 is a game that has been running for over 14 years now. That’s right, it is a game from the famous Dragon Quest series, and it is an MMO. This means that after you buy the game, you need to pay a monthly subscription to keep playing it. Without reviewing the game, it seems that it has done so well that it is still alive today, when you have other MMOs like World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy 14. That being said, DQ10 is in a bit of hot water with its recent announcement.
Dragon Quest 10 is integrating Google Gemini AI
As the heading states, the game will plan to integrate the Google Gemini AI. Players can access it through Oshaberi Slime. Basically, it’s like any of those AI programs where you type a question, and it will then give you an answer. Voice activation is also supported, and all of your relevant inquiries will be answered by Gemini AI.
Why did they do this?
The devs wanted to do this because they want to give players an easy play session. Like many MMOs, there are a lot of content and information that needs to be obtained. When the AI is integrated, players can just ask Gemini AI for the answer. Let’s say they are looking for a guide to obtain a treasure, then Gemini will tell them how to get it or what they need to do.
Is this good or bad?
Looking at it, it doesn’t seem that bad. It’s a support feature that doesn’t really alter or harm the game. They’re not using Gemini AI to generate enemies or content. It’s something for the players to use. After all, most players would just look up the answer online anyway. Why not just use the Gemini AI provided by the game?
It doesn’t cost extra as well. It’s a free feature that you can use. If you don’t like it, then don’t use it. Although it’s understandable that people would be worried because AI gives them the impression that it’s bad. The other thing that people should rememebr is that Dragon Quest 10 is very illusive, so not a lot of people get to play it, but they want to.
What is Google Gemini AI?
It is your run of the mill AI program. You can access the website separately outside of DQ10. Just put some questions to it, and it will answer you what available information it can extract online. Just remember that the answer or information may not always be 100% accurate. You still need to check up on it, but for the most part, you get some general answer to the things you’re inquiring about. You can even edit pictures on it to a certain degree. As long as you use the AI for personal reasons, it shouldn’t be that much of a problem, and you’re digging up Dragon Quest 10 information anyway.
