There has been an array of video game presentations. We just had the Sony State of Play, Summer Game Fest, Future Games Show, and now we have something from Microsoft. They went out guns blazing on this one, so let’s wrap up and see the more interesting games presented in the Xbox Showcase 2026.
Gears of War: E-Day
Let’s start with a title that really rocked off the presentation, and that is Gears of War: E-Day. This is a prequel story set 14 years before the start of the first Gears of War game. We have some familiar faces making an appearance as the game’s story depicts the events before the Locus War. There are also some familiar game mechanics and everything that people loved in the franchise.
Minecraft Dungeons 2
Brace yourself for the sequel to the first game. Minecraft Dungeons 2 brings back everything great about the first game and further expands it. Dive into a deeper story and lore dump, and dive even deeper into different dungeons. Play this alone or with friends for a much more fun experience. Minecraft Dungeons 2 is set to release in September.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse
This is an IP that has been dormant for a long time, and the Castlevania fans are eating well with this one. This one goes back to its 2D roots with the same team making the Dead Cells game. That’s why the game’s visuals look similar. The game takes place in the 1940’s with Rose Belmont as the lead character. She is the descendant of Trevor, and like any good Belmont, she is armed with the Vampire Killer, so Dracula and his ilk better be afraid.
Blood of the Dawnwalker
We simply get a lot of new footage with the story of Blood of the Dawnwalker. This game was already shown over a year ago, but this time we get to see how everything flows. If you look deep enough, you can see some footage of gameplay, but we can’t really determine it since you don’t see any UI or interface. It is a third-person action game mixed with adventure and a whole lot of blood sucking.
Control: Resonant
This game was shown several months back, and we get to see more of it. It is more into melee action rather than being an adrenaline rush shooter from the first game. Still, it has its merits and a lot of potential, and the story is a sequel, and we can’t wait for it.
Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations
It seems Final Fantasy VII isn’t the only game using the Revelation name. This one, though, is Revelations, and it is a DLC to Doom: The Dark Ages. The DLC continues the story from the end of the game. It’s back for more blood, demons, and classic Doom action.
Lords of the Fallen 2
This is a sequel to the first game, and it maintains that souls-like element to it. This game will punish you hard, but what souls-like doesn’t? This one is set centuries after the first game, but it has all the familiar things to it. Elements like dark fantasy, magic, death, and everything else are there. This is one to watch out for if you enjoyed the first game.
