It’s time for the next batch of DOTA 2’s Quartero’s Curios. This is the fourth time that this event is taking place. That’s why it’s called Quartero, not because of the character name, but it’s going to happen every quarter. This one began on June 5 and will end on September 3, 2026.6.8
What is Quartero’s Curios?
It’s an ongoing event with a very simple concept. Just play any DOTA game, ranked or normal (turbo included), and get points. If you win, you get more points; if you lose, you still get points but not as many. The number below is your level. The points act as experience, and every point you get will fill up the bar until your level goes up.
There’s no other way to level up than to just play. You can’t speed up getting points, so just play like normal. For normal and ranked matches, you get 650 points for winning and 250 for losing. For playing Turbo, you win and get 425 points, and 175 if you lose.

What are the rewards?
There are several rewards for the points that you can get, and each of them is locked behind the level of your account. When you reach the level required, you can just get the reward that you can avail.
Event Effects
These rewards will change the effects of existing items. They will last during the event, and they are automatically activated, so you don’t need to turn them on. They are effects for items like Blink Dagger, Eul’s Scepter, Teleportation Scroll, and more.

Antiques
When you are able to claim an Antique, you can choose from a set of past items. There are five sets to choose from, as you can see below. The items as well aren’t always necessary sets. They can be individual items, Immortal items, or even Arcana items. Getting an Arcana can be a dream come true because these things are expensive.

If you don’t like any of the items given, or if you already have them in your inventory, you can get Shards. The Shards can be exchanged for other items from the DOTA Plus Store. Finally, remember that any item you can get will not be tradeable. You can’t sell the items as well, so there’s that.

Hero Sets
Every Quartero Curios event, there will be three chosen heroes to have sets. Simply progress the level to unlock the item to their set. For this season, we have Broodmother, Nyx Assassin, and Venomancer. Venomancer is the lucky one to have two sets with just different color palettes. The Tier 2 set can be completed after reaching level 100. The Tier 2 set also has some nice lighting animation to make it better than the Tier 1 version.

Final Tips
You don’t really need to chalk up hours playing the game just to get those sets. A lot of the Antiques can be promising, but it still boils down to luck. If you do play DOTA 2 on a daily basis, then you shouldn’t worry about it. You’ll be able to get all three hero sets before you know it. Play Turbo if you want to get points but don’t want the long games.
