It’s been a wild couple of days when it comes to GTA 6 leaks and the official one. We recently covered the Netflix trailer, but one thing we didn’t discuss thoroughly is some side content. GTA wouldn’t be what it is if it didn’t have optional things to do. Doing the main story can be boring from time to time, so you go to the minigames and things that are not part of it. GTA 5 and Online bloomed because of these. We’re speculating about what the side content could be based on the Netflix trailer.
Racing
It wouldn’t be GTA when racing isn’t involved. It looks like you can do car racing and motorbike racing. These racing bits can be a nice way to let off some steam. Car racing is one thing, but doing the motorbike can give some variety to everything that you want. Some people do badly at driving, but maybe the racing aspect can bring out their competitive side.
Parachuting
In GTA 5 (Online), there are segments and side content where players can jump off an airplane and open a parachute. They would then try to land on the destination, but some content would have them jump through holes or rings. It’s fun, and as we see in the trailer, Lucia is jumping off a building and opening her parachute. We can’t say if this is side content, but it looks interesting.
Wrestling
There’s a clip in the trailer where we see a backyard wrestling segment. This may be a part of the story but potentially be side content. Think about participating in matches to win some money, or lose it. Controls would vary, and we can’t tell if this is a fast-paced wrestling match. It could be like those UFC games where it is slow and grueling.
Fishing
There hasn’t been a concrete fishing game in any of the GTA games. This was achieved through mods for GTA Online. We see in the trailer Jayson, Lucia, and another guy on a boat using fishing rods. This could be just a cutscene, but that could be fun where fishing is a mini-game. The gacha game NTE, which is compared to GTA, has its own fishing segments. Plus, imagine the type of fish you can get if this feature is real.
Athletics
There are a couple of clips where it seems you do some athletic stuff. You have a basketball court, so it could be possible to play ball against other characters. That could be another source of income or just something to pass the time. There’s also a segment where Lucia is at the gym lifting weights. She could be doing it to increase her stats, or it doesn’t really mean anything. There are some quick time events or button presses during this clip.
Final Remarks
These are just speculations, of course, but like all previous GTA games, there will be a ton of side content and mini-games to boot. Especially now that this game has some of the best visuals and gameplay to date, don’t forget about the fact that players can potentially make their own content for the game.
