Mobile Legends and Jollibee Collab

Two colossal names in the Philippines are Jollibee and Mobile Legends Bang Bang, or simply ML. Two different titans from different markets. One dominates the fast-food place, and the other is one of the top titles for MOBA games on mobile. The two of them are cooking something up together, and let’s find out what it is.

A collaboration between Jollibee and Mobile Legends

Mobile Legends Jollibee Collab

Jollibee will be collaborating with Mobile Legends from April 22 to May 20, 2026. For now, the only thing we know is that players can claim an exclusive Jollibee Battle Emote. If you don’t play the game, a battle emote is an animated image that pops up on top of the player’s Hero character.

Think of it as a taunt or just a jovial way of communicating. It can be funny or frustrating, depending on how he receives the end of it. Players have from the time period to claim the battle emote. We don’t know if there will be more things added to this collab, but for now, that’s just it. Players outside the Philippines can get the emote, but they may have to use a VPN to access the Philippines’ regional servers.

Why is Mobile Legends big in the Philippines?

Let’s take a look at how MLBB got so big in the Philippines and why it is still relevant today.

Getting its foot in the door

MLBB was made and released back in 2017. The game has enjoyed some moderate success, but in 2020, it exploded in the Philippines and other SEA countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and more. The year 2020 was when COVID-19 hit, and people were forced to stay indoors. Most Filipinos would go to internet cafes to play their games of choice.

Gameplay

With internet cafes being closed, the best alternative was mobile gaming. Aside from MOBA games like MLBB, other players got their fun on battle royale games. Due to MLBB’s low system requirements, a lot of Filipinos of different ages can play. That’s when MLBB got its foot in the door and exploded in popularity in the Philippines.

Content Creators and tournaments

By the year 2021, MLBB is a bonafide success. Earning money up to the brim and since regular Filipinos could buy those skins and other items with ease, the game was just pumping money. It also helped that a lot of influencial Filipino streamers and content creators were into MLBB. Whether they’re playing on their own or sponsored, these types of social engagements were good for the game. Tournaments were also being held and the fact that the players didn’t need to be in the same venue made it so much easier, since traveling was still restricted.

MLBB in the Philippines today

The game is still going strong, and they are still pumping out content. People would argue that it wasn’t as strong as during the COVID period, it doesn’t change the fact that the game is still healthy today despite newer games and competition coming out. It even has a collab with one of the local celebs the Sexbomb Dancers for their own battle emotes.
