Pragmata is Cap Com’s latest game, released on April 17, 2026. The game is less than a week out, and it has some great sales numbers to back it up. However, aside from the great sales, it is in several types of controversies, but nevertheless, it is still a good game, so to speak.
Pragmata’s sales
In less than a week, Pragmata has already sold over 1 million units/copies in all combined platforms. That is a good sign, and it seems Cap Com has been knocking it out of the park at the start of the 2026 with previous releases like Monster Hunter Stories 3 and Resident Evil 9. It also says something positive when Pragmata is a new IP, unlike the other two. Plus, this game was announced back in 2021 and had numerous delays and changes.

This game is not without its problems, and two different controversies have popped up, which may turn off players in a bad way.
Denuvo problems
As always, Cap Com has Denuvo installed in the game. While a lot of people have no problem with it, there are those who always frown upon games that have Denuvo or some kind of anti-piracy program installed. The problem isn’t so much that the game is made to block piracy, but a lot of people believe that Denuvo can be problematic.
First of all, it can be an inconvenience when switching to different systems. Denuvo kind of limits how many systems can play the game. One other inconvenience that some people report is that it can slow down or interrupt the game. Denuvo can be a problem for some, but it doesn’t seem that Cap Com will be taking it out.
NSFW mods that are harming the game
Let’s talk about the character Diana. She’s an android (robotic entity) that looks like a little girl. One of the strengths of the game is the bond and connection between Diana and the main character, Hugh. It seems innocent enough; you have what people call SPACE DAD, where Hugh wants to protect Diana while achieving the mission.
There are a couple of mods that are made to make Diana look a bit inappropriate. That’s right, mods aren’t anything new, and even Cap Com’s Resident Evil 9 had its taste. However, it is very inappropriate when you mod a little girl in-game. It doesn’t matter if the girl is an android; it just feels weird. The fact that some people see a girl and find her attractive or objectify her inappropriately then that crosses the line.
Cap Com’s mod bans
Cap Com has taken down a lot of these mods, as we also mentioned in another ARTICLE. They mostly took down mods that were inappropriate. They’ve taken down some YouTube videos and people sharing them online. Regular and safe mods are still around if you want to look at and use them. Just make sure that if you do want to use these mods, just keep them to yourself. Don’t stream or share NSFW mods, you might get in trouble.
