We covered a lot of game showcases. From Sony to XBOX, to Nintendo and the Summer Games Fest. We kinda missed one out, and it’s only right that we share what they did. We’re talking about the VR Summer Games Showcase of 2026. Yes, not a lot of people are into VR or virtual reality, but we should still cover what interesting games they had to show during the event.
Breachers: Outbreak
Let’s start with something that people will usually like: guns and zombies. Breachers: Outbreak is a four-player co-op game. You go into the game, shoot zombies, and extract components that will put an end to this zombie outbreak. Gear up and customize your loadouts for different playstyles every time you get in.
The Rifted Skies
The game mixes parkour and fast-paced gaming with action and roguelite elements. There’s that word that most people frown upon, and it’s mixed with VR. Run fast, jump on walls, run on the walls, and jump over pitfalls. Wherever the stage leads you to the next chapter, you have to be quick, and you have to be deadly as enemies are along your way.
Outlanders VR
Here’s something to calm your soul. There is a non-VR version of this game where you can play. Outlanders VR is coming out, and it is the same game but in virtual reality. The game is a town-building, resource management, and life simulation. It’s a calm and cozy game where it takes you to a virtual world to build your town, interact with the townspeople, and more. Building your town can be satisfying when it grows to something bigger in the end.
Hot Dogs, Horseshoes, & Hand Grenades
This one just came out today because it is the Fourth of July, and that’s the theme of this game. Americans have hot dogs, and apparently hand grenades on the Fourth of July; the horseshoes are for games that they play. This game is a shooter filled with fun, explosions, and all the meat you can grind to turn into hot dogs. This game has surprisingly good and positive reviews on Steam despite being a VR one. It’s mindless, fun, and perfect for turning your brain off.
The Lightkeepers
You’re on a boat out on an adventure; actually, you’re in a land of horror. Creepy creatures come out, and you have to uncover the mystery behind it all while surviving everything. The game lets you scour different locations when you sail your boat. Gear up with the right weapons to take out these monstrosities, so that you can keep your skin.
Primal Rumble
We’re finishing this list of VR games you might be interested in with Primal Rumble. This is a collectable card game, or TCG as they would call it. It’s a bit relaxing, but you need to think with your mind on this one. While not the first VR card game, if that is your favorite genre, then this game is worth a check when it comes out. Collect cards, build your decks, and dominate the games.
