The new Spider-Man Brand New Day movie trailer just dropped. Good old Spider-Man is back, but what’s back or new in this case is the upcoming Marvel Rivals Season 7. This update is called the Hunt is On, and it features a lot of new things that we will dive into right now.
What’s Coming?
Like any update, there are a lot of new things coming and some old things returning. The sad thing is that some current things will be changed or removed. Nerfs and buffs are coming to your favorite heroes, so watch out.
Two new characters to play
We have two new characters to play in the upcoming season 7 update. They are Felisha Hardy as Black Cat and Ami Han as White Fox.
A lot of people who are fans of Spider-Man know who Black Cat is. She’s someone who has taken the super soldier serum and has cat-like agility. She mostly steals things and is a close friend of Spider-Man. It is rumored that she will be a Duelist in the game.
Ami Han or White Fox may not be as renowned. She is of Korean descent, and her superhero name is based on the Korean mythological creature, the Gumiho or nine-tailed fox. She has speed, super strength, and powers on the mystic side. She is believed to be a Strategist upon release.
New Costumes
What is a new update without any new costumes or skins? While we’re not sure who’s getting a glow-up look, the ones that have been floating around are The Punisher, Hela, Dr. Strange, Adam Warlock, Loki, Ultron, Angela, and Rocket Raccoon. Two characters are also in it, such as Peni Parker for the Spider-Man link and Luna Snow, a fellow Korean to White Fox.
Nerfs and Buffs
Sadly, buffs and nerfs are coming. It’s sad for some people because their favorite character might get nerfed. That’s just the nature of these games to make things interesting. Some heroes could get stronger, and some are just the same as always.
In addition, new team-ups will happen. With the addition of these two new heroes, newer team-ups are a possibility. We could get a Spider-Man, Black Cat, and Peni Parker team-up move. Anything is possible, but current team-ups may also be removed to usher in the new ones.
The Battle Pass as Usual
It’s not Marvel Rivals without the Battle Pass, and this one has 12 pages on it, or could be more. There are two of them, called the Tablet of Life and the Tablet of Time. Don’t worry, if you don’t want to spend money on these battle passes, you’ll still be good. After all, the game doesn’t make it uneven when one has a full battle pass and the other does not.
The update is going to be released on March 20, 2026. It will be split with White Fox coming first in 7.0 and Black Cat coming out in 7.5. If you’re excited, then make sure to get your game and your game face ready.
