Star Savior Just Released Recently Will You Play It?

There’s a new gacha game in town, and it is called Star Savior. The game was released on March 19, 2026, to some very bad reviews. However, it’s been a couple of days, and the game has gotten better reviews, and the fact that it is still around means that it is doing something right. From criticisms to a functioning game, are you going to play it?

General Overview

Overview

The game is your typical gacha-style, where players collect characters, build teams, and progress through a story-driven universe filled with sci-fi and fantasy elements. Like many gacha games, its core mechanic revolves around summoning characters or items using in-game currency, often with randomized results. The game blends exploration, combat, and character progression into a continuous loop that keeps players engaged over time.

Battle System

Battle Mechanics

Star Savior focuses on team-based combat. Players assemble a squad of characters, each with unique abilities, roles, and elemental affinities. Battles usually involve strategic decision-making, such as choosing the right characters to counter enemies or timing abilities for maximum impact. The gameplay may be turn-based or action-oriented depending on the specific design, but strategy always plays a key role.

Outside of combat, players spend time upgrading characters, equipping gear, and managing resources. This progression system ensures that even lower-tier characters can become useful with enough investment, encouraging long-term engagement rather than quick wins. That’s where the gacha mechanics come into play, where you build up your team through pulls.

Gacha System

The draw rate for the highest rating (SSR) is 4%. Whether you do single or multiple pulls, that’s the rating that you’ll get. For every multiple pulls (10 pulls), you are guaranteed an SR character, but this pull rating does not apply to single pulls. Compared to other gacha games, it isn’t that bad. The game Nikke utilizes the same concept. Star Savior does have a pity system for over 200 pulls.

Story Progression and Content

This game does have a story to go through. While it’s not a deal breaker, the story dialogues are mostly done with the characters talking on a screen in a single panel. We can’t comment on the story, but for what it’s worth, the story is decent and your typical fantasy RPG type of stuff.

The game also has some side content to do. PVP is a popular thing, but balancing may be an issue. There are accusations that the game is PAY TO WIN. We can’t verify that as well, but you’re pulling for characters who might be META or strong for the current line-up, and people with money can’t attain that.

Some Controversy

Lacy

A lot of people say that this is a GOONER GAME. The term applies when the game has some sexually revealing characters. All the playable characters are female, and some of them have very provocative designs. Another controversy is that the game reminds people too much of Honkai Star Rail. The gameplay is the same, and the visual presentation is almost the same. However, there isn’t any lawsuit happening, so we’ll leave it at that.
