Future Games Show Summer Showcase Wrap Up

We recently wrapped up events like the PlayStation State of Play and the recent Summer Game Fest. Now, it’s time to wrap up the Future Games Show, which just ended a couple of hours ago. This is an independent presentation from GamesRadar+. It might not have the big names, but let’s take a look at the games that have some potential.

Little Nightmares III: The Backstage

This is DLC content for the game that was released in October of 2025. Based on the trailer, it seems we get to play a new character. The story dives deeper into the secrets of the Carnevale. It has all the things we love from the psychological horror, platforming, and puzzles.

Duskfade

This game looks like an action platformer akin to that of Kingdom Hearts or Jax and Dester. This has some nice and vibrant colors and some animated graphics. It looks good enough for anyone to have on their list of must-play games. It even has a demo on PS5, so why not check it out? This one looks beautiful, and with some fast-paced combat, it’s worth a look.

Wheelmates

The game Split Fiction was a success, and Wheelmates borrows the same concept but with a twist. Two players will take control of toy cars, and they have to work together. We don’t know much about the plot, but the point is that the players have to solve puzzles and progress the game by controlling both of their toy cars to unlock more areas of the story.

BioEden

It’s been a while since games like this were covered in such events. Even though it’s not a genre that everyone can get into, BioEden gives that kick to it. It’s a game about building structures, bases, and resource management. Think of games like Civilization, but this one has its own thing going with some colorful and bright worlds to check out.

Aniimo

This game was announced almost a year ago, but now we have more things to look at. Aniimo is another monster-capturing game. It seems that the setting is a bit of an open world where you can ride some of your monsters and do the usual. It seems that the player character will also be playing a part in combat, so it’s not just the monsters fighting. An interesting title to look out for, and it has nice visuals too.

Mistfall Hunter

Closing out this round of games from the Future Games Show is Mistfall Hunter. While there are a lot of other titles, we’re putting this one up last. This game captures that classic and standard action RPG. It doesn’t look like it’s a soulslike or open world, but it doesn’t need to be any of those games.

In Closing

Some consider this to be an underwhelming show. We have to give consideration to the fact that not every game will be here. Plus, we already mentioned that the Summer Game Fest and PlayStation State of Play just happened in recent days. Think of this as a show for the little guy.
