Bungie is a name in the video game world that is always revered. They’re the company behind the Halo Series and both Destiny games. If you played those games, then you already know what you’re getting into. However, long ago, Bungie released a game back in 1994. That game was Marathon, and it spawned a sequel, Marathon 2: Durandal, and Marathon Infinity.
If you weren’t aware, they released a trailer for Marathon, which is tagged as an extraction shooter. Think of games like Escape from Tarkov and Arc Raiders. You’ll be playing with other people, to loot, survive, kill, and explore. Now, this game wasn’t really liked the first time it was announced. People are still frowning on it as another shooter game.
Well, launch day just happened, and depending on what system you’re playing on, the price for this game is around $39.99. It’s not as expensive as other games, but are you getting the value? Will you be playing this game now that it has officially launched? Based on Steam numbers alone, there is some good data to get if you take a look at the image below.

Reviews are mostly positive; however, this is just the first few days of the game. People are saying that it will end up like Concord and the recently ill-fated Highguard (which was free). We can only wait in the coming months to see if this game is still around and if Bungie still has that magic to make their other IPs work. Will you be playing it?
