Nintendo and Game Freak recently released the upcoming Gen 10 games, Pokémon Winds and Waves. Inspired by the Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It’s very visible how the trailer shows some good tropical locales and biomes. However, we’re here to take a look and analyze the Starters for this Region. This is just our speculations as to what they might evolve into, and other key details.
Browt

This Grass-type starter is based on an owl, so Rowlet (Gen 7 Grass Starter) has some competition. The name also suggests its eyebrows are thick. Browt could evolve into a Grass/Flying-type; it isn’t the first to be that. A suitable secondary type would be Ground. It’s an owl, so giving it some Ground properties seems out of this world and makes it interesting.
Pombon

This adorable Fire-type starter is based on the Pomeranian breed of dogs, hence the Pom in its name. The Bon could be a bonfire, but we’re just guessing. A lot of people joke that it might be another Fire/Fighting-type when it gets its final evolution, because there are like three of them already. The popular choice is that it should be a Fire/Fairy-type due to its cute and cuddly nature.
Gecqua

Based on geckos that can run on water, Gecqua is also joked to be another rip-off of Sobble (Gen 8 Water Starter). When you look at it, it doesn’t seem much. However, sometimes, simplicity can also be deadly. Good types to pair it with are Dark or Ghost. It’s so mysterious and can pull off the Greninja build.
Hopefully, some of these predictions come true; it’s always fun not knowing what lies ahead.
